Robert Rogers, Director

Robert G. Rogers, better known as Bob, came to St. Louis from Arkansas as a young child and is a proud product of the St. Louis Public Schools, graduating from Vashon High School.  After graduation he went on to attend Wiley University in Marshall, TX on a basketball scholarship and later transferred to St. Louis University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science.  He later received his teacher’s certification from Harris Stowe State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Professional Career:

  • St. Louis Public Schools – retired in 2007 after thirty (30) years as a School & Community Education Administrator.  Throughout his SLPS career, Bob has received numerous awards and recognition for his dedicated work in the community from area churches and organizations to bridge the gap between school and communities by providing programs, services and resources for youth, parents and guardians.

  • Greater St. Louis Area Boy Scouts – Field Commissioner for 2 years after retiring from SLPS

  • Human Development Corporation (HDC) – Child Care Coordinator

  • Model Cities – Child Development Director

  • Kingdom House Settlement House – Youth Group Director

Civic & Community Affiliations:

  • St. Louis Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. – active Life Member, currently serving as the St. Louis Alumni Senior Kappa Chair and Vice Kappa Senior Chair on the fraternity’s Province level.  Bob has received numerous awards and recognitions for his dedication, commitment and service to his life-long fraternity – Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

  • Royal Vagabonds, Inc. – A member for twenty-one years, having served on the RV Board and the Executive level as Grand Scribe, Vice Grand Pharaoh, most recently as the immediate past Grand Pharaoh 2018 – 2022, and served on various committees and chaired various events, most notable the RV Sunday Matinee and The RV White Party.  

  • Royal Vagabonds Foundation, Inc. - Currently serving on the RV Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the RV Foundation Leadership Luncheon Committee.
